The Finance Ministry works with financial issues of Cross of Life. The group meets monthly and reviews the proper month's budget and variances. Insurance policies, investments and disbursements are discussed, and suggestions are submitted to the Church Council.

The goal of the Adult Programs is to care for the physical and spiritual well-being of Cross of Life members. There are about 20 small groups available for members to participate in.

The New Member Ministry, or Evangelism Outreach, provides programs to work with the community to introduce and welcome people to Cross of Life. There is a series of 3 classes that potential new members attend, each focussing on different aspects of Lutheranism, Cross of Life, etc.

The Property Ministry Committee addresses issues of the building and surrounding property. Included are building repairs and maintenance, gardening, and landscape management.

Servant Ministries Committee supports programs in the local, extended, and world communties to provide assistance with time, talents and financial funding. Local programs that Cross of Life supports include the Waukesha Food Pantry, the Waukesha Women's Center, the Waukesha Clothes Closet/Career Closet, and Springdale House. Area programs Cross of Lifers are involved with include Florist Avenue Church (Agape Meal Program, Tutoring, and Summer Lunch Program), Bread of Healing Clinic. We also have several groups involved in various world-wide endeavors, including Lutheran World Relief.

The Group Opportunities (GO) Committee oversees specific events which engage the whole congregation (Advent Fest, Summer Picnic, Sunday morning coffee hours/receptions and a variety of other annual or occasional events.... like movie nights) as well as the coordination of smaller gatherings aimed at a portion of our church family …like potlucks after Saturday evening services.

The Stewardship Ministry coordinates stewardship of the members of Cross of Life as they contribute their time, talents, and financial offerings.

The Worship and Music Ministry provides elements to enhance the worship services for the congregation. They are involved with the musical selections (choirs, soloists, or special musical selections), decorations, and seasonal and special events.

There are many opportunities for you and your family to participate in the learning events offered by the Education Ministry! There is Sunday School provided for children preschool age through Grade 8. High schoolers are invited to sit in and participate in our Sunday morning discussions. And, each Sunday, adults have two opportunities to choose from - a Bible study class, and an adult forum, which focuses on a variety of topics.

Finally, the Youth Ministry is a group of parents and involved adults that plan and coordinate activities for junior and senior high youth. Past activities have included a day at Noah's Ark Water Park in the Dells, skiing or tubing at Granite Peak, summer youth servant trips, scavenger hunts, and movie nights.
