Our Summer Worship Schedule

We have two services to choose from - a 5:00 pm service on Saturday evening, and a 9:30 service on Sunday mornings. We do not have "contemporary" or "traditional" services - we have "blended" services.  There are traditional and contemporary elements in each service.

This upcoming weekend, Labor Day weekend, is considered a holiday weekend. There will be NO Sunday school.

On September 11/12, we will be returning to our Fall schedule, which is as follows:

Saturday at 5:oo pm or Sundays at 8:30 & 10:45 am.

How to Find Cross of Life Lutheran Church!

We are located just west of the intersection of Barker Road and North Avenue, at 20700 West North Avenue, Brookfield Wisconsin 53045.  Our phone number is 785-9420.

If you click on the link below, you will find some information from the City of Brookfield regarding upcoming road construction in the area. We'll post maps or directions on how to get here once construction commences.

Construction has begun on the round-a-bout at the intersection of Barker Road and North Avenue. Barker Road will be open to traffic on a combination of existing and temporary lane configurations.

North Avenue will be closed immediately east of Barker Road from June 15th until approximately July 4th.

After July 4th, North Avenue east of Barker Road will be reopened, however, North Avenue, immediately west of Barker, will be closed for construction until late July.

A detour route will be posted for both closures of North Avenue to route traffic to Springdale Road, to USH 18, and then Brookfield Road back to North Ave.

Thanks for your patience.  The project is expected to be completed by mid-August.

New Member Gatherings

If you’d like to be considered a member at Cross of Life, you’re invited to join us for the new member gatherings. The next set of new member classes (there are generally 3 classes) will be held in the fall. During the classes, we cover Christian and Lutheran beliefs, the ministries of Cross of Life, and introduce you to the elected and staff leadership of the congregation.  No sign up necessary. If you have questions, talk to either Pastor or Debbie Riederer in the office (785-9420) or to Laura Weber (641-8101) from our Church Council.

New Member classes for this fall will be held on three consecutive Thursdays in September - the 16th, 23rd, & 30th. Classes run 6:30-8:30 pm; childcare is available (please contact Debbie in the church office to arrange for childcare).
